General Dynamics
General
Dynamics has implemented OPC Systems.NET on a computer
system designed for use on all nuclear powered U.S. Navy
submarines and aircraft carriers. Systems, utilizing OPC
Systems.NET, are collecting high speed data from nuclear
reactors and propulsion auxiliary system components.
The OPC
Controls.NET data component is used to populate data from a
custom Visual Studio application. OPC Controls.NET provides
queuing from Visual Studio applications with resolution up
to 100 nanoseconds.
"OPC Systems.NET is the most
comprehensive, easy-to-use, and flexible OPC toolkit for the
.NET developer."
Philip Newman, General
Dynamics – Electric Boat

JBT
AeroTech
JBT
AeroTech has used OPC Systems.NET to create an airport
monitoring system called iOPS™ (Intelligent Operations
Performance System) Suite that links maintenance management
systems and aircraft avionics data to critical ground-based
monitoring, diagnostic and tracking systems on gate
equipment, baggage handling systems, facility systems and
ground support equipment. They have implemented data
logging, alarm logging, web application HMI components, OPC
communications, and .NET communications features of
OPC Systems.NET.
"JBT is
very excited about what we have done with OPC Systems.NET
and look forward to a very long term relationship with Open
Automation Software"
Stephen Tatton Manager

Michelin Tire
Michelin
Tire uses OPC Systems.NET for HMI, trending, data logging, alarm
logging, and recipe management in their manufacturing facilities
all over the world. They utilize the advantage of 100%
management components to deploy their applications as Smart
Clients. To provide global communications to each facility they
use the Internet for communications.
“We really like the ability
to centralize all data in the OPC Systems Service to provide
data to our remote terminals”
Stephen Smith automation
engineer for Michelin Tire

Blue Pillar
Blue
Pillar has implemented OPC Systems.NET to gather data from
OPC Servers and custom Visual Studio application data to
create a comprehensive energy management system for
hospitals called avise.
“OPC
Systems.Net is a product that takes all of the work out of
creating .Net applications that quickly address the business
needs at hand. Instead of spending hours upon hours
creating OPC level communications and worrying about
functionality such as data logging, alarming, remote
communication, and GUI component develop, this toolkit
provides this functionality at our fingertips that allows us
to very quickly get an enterprise-level application based on
the .Net framework up and running very quickly.
Scalability? Not a problem…”
Brad Witter – CTO and Co-founder Blue Pillar Inc.

Volvo - FEC
Mack
engines are designed and manufactured at this 1.5
million-square-foot facility in Hagerstown, MD. The TC15
transfer case, rear engine power take-off and Mack
Maxitorque ES T300 series transmissions are also produced at
this facility.
The application displays information to the operator, and
configures the torque tool for the specific parts.
Subsequently, the torque tool is enabled, and retrieves the
actual torque and angle applied to the component.
"I have been using OPC
Systems.NET
for about two years now and I can’t tell you how nice it is to have the tools to
build a quality HMI/SCADA system.

Shippensburg - FEC
Shippensburg
WWTP is a 3.0 MGD facility servicing the city of
Shippensburg PA, and is the first plant of its kind in
Pennsylvania to respond to tighter government regulations
regarding the discharge levels of ammonia, phosphorous and
nitrogen. The process required the control of the level of
nitrates in the effluent stream based on influent flow and
current levels of dissolved oxygen in the system.
Furthermore, nitrate re-circulation based on flow needed to
be controlled, while also monitoring the dissolved oxygen
levels in each tank based on flow and existing DO levels.
"All in all, I have to say that my experience with Open
Automation Software
has been great."
Paul Wheeler engineer for
FEC Technologies

Geomation

Geomation manufactures electronic instrumentation products
and systems for field monitoring and data acquisition
applications. Geomation customers include large industrial
concerns, government agencies, and electric, water supply,
and water reclamation utilities. Applications for Geomation
equipment range from dam safety, to landslide monitoring,
tunnel & other civil construction monitoring, and
environmental monitoring.
Geomation had selected OPC Systems.NET from Open Automation
Software for its client software package, offering extensive
capabilities for data logging, trending, alarm monitoring,
graphic HMIs, and multi-user network and web access. We have
adopted the name of
Geonet OPC Systems, retaining trademark rights in our
legacy software name.
